It’s me, hi!

A little bit about me…

Hi there, I’m Julia - the person behind the art! I have been painting for as long as I can remember (probably since I could first pick up a paintbrush)! As a child, I enjoyed creating anything I could get my hands on, and I’ve always kept that crafty spirit with me through my teens and early adulthood.

As a self-taught artist (through many trials and errors), I started taking my craft more seriously back in high school when I started my first job at a paint-your-own-pottery studio. My skills were utilized to create window displays, sample pieces for the studio, and custom works of art for the holidays.

Creating custom pieces became a passion for me as I realized the joy that a meaningful piece of art can bring. Throughout my college years, I honed my craft by painting gifts for friends and relatives, often canvas paintings of places near and dear to people’s hearts (Not to mention the countless fraternity coolers, event banners, and spirit murals from over the years - see below for some of my early works). Through all of this, I have enjoyed the thrill of bringing a smile to people’s faces and highlighting the special moments of our lives!

As a full-time athletic trainer by day, you will find some of my pieces are inspired by my time around sports. I particularly love football, a sport which I played as a kid, then cheered for throughout high school. Eventually, I followed that path into my career field where I have since worked in a number of settings from the youth to professional level. I have always loved how sports can bring all kinds of people together, and like art, can evoke strong emotions and memories. Not only that, but I’ve been a Swiftie since I was 8 years old - Taylor continues to inspire me and I love creating art that connects to her and her music!

There is no greater feeling than creating something that others will enjoy. Not only that, but I love the challenge of trying to bring each piece to perfection. Art helps me escape the daily stressors of life and redirect my worries into making something beautiful for others to enjoy. I hope my art is able to bring some joy to your life!

Welcome to my creative world!
