By visiting this website, you are consenting to the Terms & Conditions outlined below. This website provides a place for potential customers to view and/or purchase Julia Vollmer’s artwork. Use of this website in any manner is subject to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions apply to all site visitors, users, & customers.
Returns and Refunds
CUSTOM ART:
I always hope that you will love your piece of art, and I will do everything in my power to ensure it is up to your standards. I can work with you within reason to make changes to a piece prior to final payment and shipping. All custom art sales are final once final payment is made.
All deposits are non-refundable. If for some reason you change your mind on a piece before final payment, this deposit accounts for materials used and time spent working on your project.
OTHER PURCHASES:
I do not currently offer refunds on other products such as original paintings and crafts (unless the item is damaged/lost during shipping). All sales are final.
SHIPPING ISSUES:
I do my very best to safely package your artwork for shipping. In the rare event that your piece is damaged during shipping, notify me right away so a claim can be filed with the mail carrier. Be sure to take photos of visible damage. In this case, your refund would be issued after compensation is received from the shipping service. All shipments are insured to cover the value of the piece.
Commissioned Art
DEPOSITS & PAYMENT:
All deposits are non-refundable and all custom art sales are final once final balance is received (unless otherwise determined by the discretion of the artist). Because of this policy, please be sure that you are certain before paying a deposit on a custom art order, but feel free to ask me about a piece if you may be interested (inquiries are free)!
Right to Refusal: The customer retains the right to no longer purchase commissioned artwork at any time. Please note that any amount paid prior to refusal will not be refunded to the customer under these circumstances. This statement relieves the artist of being indebted to customer if this occurs.
REFERENCE PHOTOS:
Quality reference photos make a huge difference in the final product of portraits. It also helps to have multiple photos for the most accurate reference. The Customer confirms that reference photos are of the best available quality, with good lighting and without obstruction, blurriness, or grain. The customer will be notified if the supplied photos do not meet these qualifications, and must understand that it may heavily impact the recognizability and realism of the desired artwork. (See more information on how to take a quality reference photo on the appropriate custom art offering pages).
Please note that reference photos can be used as a helpful marketing tool when sharing the end result of the artwork. By providing reference photos, the customer agrees to allow these photos to be shared on the artist’s website, social media, or other marketing tools. If you wish to keep these photos private, this must be indicated upon inquiry.
APPROVAL:
Upon completion, the artist will supply images of the completed work for approval. If the customer requests the artwork to be sent as a surprise (without update photos), the customer forgoes the ability to request revisions.
REVISIONS:
Satisfying the customer is of utmost importance but there ARE limits to what will be altered at the request of the customer. The artist will only make revisions that are within the confines of the existing style and that do not clash with the vision of the artist. This is for the intent of staying committed to business quality and brand.
One round of revisions (up to an hour of work) is offered free of charge. After that there is a flat rate of $40/hr for revisions. The customer will be notified of a new completion date at the request of any revisions.
More information will be provided on a Commission Contract upon inquiry.
